Formation
4-2-3-1
Two holding midfielders shield the back four; a number ten links the wingers and the lone striker.
Attack
Long Ball
Skip midfield: long balls up to the big man and runners feeding off the knock-downs. Simple, and hard to defend against a target man. The back line stays home.
Defence
Mid Block
A compact shape around halfway: press when the ball comes into midfield, hold the line otherwise.
